9/11 Remembrance Mass 2021

Dear Nazareth Family:

As Nazareth Regional HS begins our Diamond Jubilee year, we would like to invite all our alumni and families to join us in a special prayer service to commemorate the members of the Nazareth community who were victims of 9/11/01. Our tribute will include alumni victims, their families, survivors, those with illnesses relating to the tragedy and our first responders.

We would like your help in order to develop a complete listing of Nazareth alumni, family and friends to be included in our tribute. Attached you will find our initial listing of those who will be a part of our commemoration ceremony; but ask our Nazareth family to participate by submitting names, year of graduation, and/or relationship to Nazareth of individuals to be included. All names need to be received by the 9th of September 2021, to be announced at the prayer service.

Due to our COVID safety protocols, our sophomores and senior XBSS leaders will guide us through our prayer service, but the entire Nazareth community is invited to pray and participate with us via zoom. The service will begin promptly at:

8:30 a.m. on September 10, 2021

Please use the following link to participate via Zoom:

Passcode: p2X3TC

Along with the Nazareth in-person reading, the ceremony will observe a moment of silence coinciding with the initial attack on the World Trade Center, this will also commemorate the attack on the Pentagon and the crash of Flight 93.

Our school and our nation will never forget the horror of that day nor the thousands of Americans who lost their lives. However, we will always remember the heroic acts of courage from our first responders, health care providers and everyday Americans who came together to help save the injured and prevent further loss. Let us remember and pray to regain the unity we felt as a nation in those moments. May we carry that same solidarity in our hearts with us as we confront today’s challenges.
