Please feel free to call me if you have any questions about this, or about anything to do with the college application process. I look forward to working with your child as he/she applies to college and welcome the opportunity to talk with you either on the phone or in person.

Dress Code

Students will be allowed to wear polo shirts every day, Monday through Friday. The polo shirts MUST be purchased from Nazareth’s approved vendor with the Nazareth logo on the upper left of the chest, in the available colors of maroon, grey, and pink. Polo shirts may not be tied or knotted to appear more tightly fitted.

Students may also wear a Nazareth logo crewneck, available in maroon and black. Pants, skirts, and footwear can be purchased from the vendor of your choosing, if they adhere to the guidelines below.

Using this order form to purchase uniform in bulk will result in savings on uniform pieces. We may have some extra items in various sizes available throughout the year for replacement pieces, at a slightly higher cost of an additional $5 per item in between order forms.

Pants Uniform Policy

To maintain a respectful and unified school appearance, students at Nazareth Regional High School are expected to wear uniform-appropriate pants that meet the following guidelines:

Permitted Colors

  • Pants must be solid black or khaki only.
  • No patterns, prints, logos, or embellishments allowed.

Approved Style & Fit

  • Pants must be traditional dress pants or uniform chinos.
  • Pants must be worn at the waist with a belt. No sagging.
  • Pants must have a straight or classic fit — no tight, skinny, flared, or baggy cuts.

Not Permitted

  • No jeans, denim, or jeggings.
  • No leggings, yoga pants, or spandex/stretch materials.
  • No cut-outs, tears, slits, or frayed hems.
  • No cargo pants, joggers, sweatpants, track pants, or athletic wear.
  • No form-fitting or overly baggy pants.
  • No pants with visible branding, stripes, or decorations.

General Appearance

  • Pants must be clean, properly hemmed, and in good condition.
  • Undergarments must not be visible at any time.
  • Pants should allow for ease of movement without being overly tight or revealing.

Students who arrive at school in pants that do not meet these expectations will be asked to change or be sent home. Final decisions regarding appropriate dress will be made at the discretion of the Dean of Students or Administration.

Skirt Uniform Policy

As part of the Nazareth Regional High School uniform, students who choose to wear skirts must adhere to the following guidelines to maintain a respectful, modest, and appropriate school environment:

  • Color: Skirts must be solid black or khaki only. No patterns, stripes, or embellishments are permitted.
  • Length: Skirts must be worn at a modest length, falling no shorter than two inches above the knee when standing. Skirts that ride up while walking or sitting are not permitted.
  • Material: Skirts must be made of structured, non-stretch fabric. Spandex, Lycra, or any clingy, fitted material is not allowed.
  • Style:
    • Skirts must not have slits, cut-outs, sheer panels, or frayed hems.
    • Skirts must not be form-fitting and should allow for ease of movement.
    • Pleated or A-line skirts are acceptable if they meet the above requirements.
  • Fit & Waistline: Skirts must be worn at the natural waistline and should not be rolled at the waistband to shorten length.
  • Undergarments: Appropriate undergarments must be worn beneath skirts. Shorts or tights are strongly recommended for additional coverage and comfort.

Any student wearing non-compliant skirts will be asked to change or contact a parent/guardian for an appropriate pair. Final determinations on acceptable skirts will be made by the Dean of Students or School Administration.

Nazareth Regional High School – Uniform Shoe Policy

To maintain a professional and safe school environment, all students at Nazareth Regional High School are required to follow the guidelines below regarding footwear:

Approved Footwear

  • Students must wear all-black sneakers or school-appropriate shoes with a black sole.
  • Shoes may include a small logo or brand symbol in any color, but the overall appearance must remain black.
  • Acceptable styles include:
    • All-black sneakers or athletic shoes.
    • All-black loafers, slip-ons, or dress shoes.
    • All-black uniform-style shoes with minimal detailing.

Not Permitted

  • No high heels, wedges, or platform shoes.
  • No boots above the ankle, including fashion or combat boots.
  • No open-toed shoes, sandals, flip-flops, slides, Crocs, slippers, or Ugg slip-ons.
  • No bright-colored soles, glitter, lights, or large visible logos.
  • No cleats, steel toes, or unsafe footwear.
  • No shoes with excessive accessories or distracting features.

Safety & Comfort

  • Footwear must be securely fastened at all times, including laces, straps, or secure slip-ons.
  • Shoes must be safe for daily movement, stairs, and emergency situations.
  • Students are required to wear socks or hosiery for hygiene and safety.

Any student wearing non-compliant footwear will be asked to change or contact a parent/guardian for an appropriate pair. Repeated violations may result in disciplinary action. Final determinations on acceptable footwear will be made by the Dean of Students or School Administration.

  3. No hats or head coverings of any kind are permitted.
  4. No undergarments can be exposed.
  5. Dress pants, skirts, dresses, blazers, dressy sweaters, shirts, or blouses may be worn if they are appropriate in length and size.

  2. Headwear of any type may not be worn, including head scarfs and durags, in school, around the school premises, or at any extra-curricular events. Hats can and will be confiscated. A Nazareth headband or a plain, solid black headband no more than 2” wide can be worn.
