Between 55 and 60 graduates attended a reunion weekend on October 26 at the Doubletree Hotel in Somerset, N.J. celebrating Nazareth’s first four graduating classes, from 1966 to 1969.
The event was organized by Bob McAndrew, ’66, Steve Gandley ’67, John Wuestman ‘68 and TV Kennedy ’69.
Attendees came from far and wide, and each received a name tag with their HS graduation picture on it – taking them back to the glory days.
John Wuestman, who is also the current Chair of Nazareth’s Board of Trustees, said that the attendees across all four classes shared a fondness for Nazareth, “and a bunch of funny stories.” One speaker’s recollections of teachers they had in common drew a long round of applause.
The event’s success meant that class captains for other years might want to consider having multi-year reunions.
